The Sri Lankan cricket board had made the announcement on Friday that India had been invited to play a tri-series during the latter part of New Zealand’s tour of Sri Lanka and BCCI say crucial match practice ahead of the Champions Trophy in South Africa in September. India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand will play a short ODI tri series in Sri Lanka from 8th to 14th September 2009.
