Okay, so everyone’s speculating about the release date of Aamir Khan’s Dhobi Ghat. Besides the fact that it’s an Aamir Khan production and is directed by his wife Kiran, the film is being eyed minutely because it stars Aamir in a pivotal role. In the past, Aamir has released his movies in Christmas – TAARE ZAMEEN PAR [2007], GHAJINI [2008] and 3 IDIOTS [2009] – and it’s said that Aamir will bring DHOBI GHAT [2010] this Christmas.

But the truth is something else. Aamir is not releasing Dhobi Ghat on 24th December this year. In fact, he has finalized the month of release, but not the date of release of Dhobi Ghat. Aamir confirmed it to this writer: “We are thinking of February 2011 for Dhobi Ghat. Not locked the final date yet.” That should put an end to all speculation… and those planning to release their films on 24th December this year can heave a sigh of relief.

The producers of the much-awaited RA.ONE, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, have finalized the date of release 3rd June, 2011. The film will arrive soon after the IPL cricket matches next year.

Hrithik Roshan Barbara and Kangna starrer film Kites third time extended for release date first time Kites released Oct. 2009 then Feb 2010 now directly releases on summer vacation March 2010.

The main reason is two big movie conflicts on this week that is first SRK’s My Name Is Khan officially announced officially announced for general release during Valentine’s Day (14th Feb. 2010) week in February and second is Kites. But inside main reason Karan Johar’s film north USA have big demand also other coteries as compared to Kites movie.

So there you go. The Roshan are also running scared from the King Khan. Whatever next!

Abbas Tyrewala’s next film, 1-800-LOVE is almost done but it won’t release until July next year. The reason behind this is that Abbas believes July is his lucky month (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na released last July and performed very well). So, he plans to release all his movies in July now and he is sure they will work.
Abbas is glad that even though most of the shooting is done, the producer is ready to wait until July for the release. He actually wanted to release it on July 4, like Jaane Tu… but it isn’t a Friday. So, they will settle on a date between July 2 and July 9, 2010. Abbas would love to release all his future films in July too but that depends on how accommodating his producers would be.
Abbas defence for the issue is that the first half of the year is usually filled with exams and that he wants to wait until schools and colleges shut down. But Abbas don’t schools and colleges reopen in July?
