In the movie Tushar Kpoor’s role plays Sahil, a cartoonist and Amrtia Rao’s role plays Ritu, a management trainee. This is first movie of Tushar Kapoor under Rajshri banner, where Amrita Rao’s second movie after Vivah opposite Shahid Kapoor.

The movie is produced by the Barjatyas, who own the Rajshri Productions and the film is directed by debutante S Manasvi, who also has penned the story, screenplay and dialogue of the film.

Some names are dropped from the Race sequel and some new names are added to it. The name that requires special mention is stylish John Abraham. Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor will remain in Race 2 but Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif has been dropped.

Race 2 is said to be more exciting and stylish than the original. John has read the script and liked his part very much. He has given his ok for the film. A source reveals, “John read the script and really liked it. After Dhoom, this is the second script he liked in just one sitting. The character he’s playing is not only flamboyant but also has a huge collection of imported cars and bikes. Everyone knows that John is an avid bike rider.”

Speaking about his look in the film, a source said, “His look is extremely sexy and sophisticated. The film also has lot of stunts, car chases and some deep-sea diving scenes. They still are location hunting to figure out where to base the film.”

When contacted, Ramesh Taurani said, “The script is being finalised and we have only cast Saif and Anil Kapoor till now.”

Apart from John, some new actors will be included.

Rohit Shetty says he is planning to cast his good friend Ajay Devgn, with whom he teamed up in the recent hit “All The Best”, and his actress wife Kajol together in a film.

“Ajay and Kajol have a very strong reputed husband-wife kind of image and with them it (the film) should be of that class and on that level. I have been looking for a script keeping them in mind and the day I get one, I’ll definitely make a film with both of them,” Shetty told.

Talking about his camaraderie with Ajay, Shetty said: “Ajay and I gel very well. In fact, now I am of the opinion that why should I go out and look for a hero when I have a man in the house. It’s like a family now.”

Ajay and Shetty’s friendship goes back to 1991 hit film “Phool Aur Kaante” – both started their career with the romantic action movie. The film launched Ajay as an actor, while Shetty worked as a junior assistant to director Sandesh Kohli.

In 2003 when Shetty turned a full-fledged director with “Zameen”, he cast Ajay in the main lead. Since then Ajay is seen in all directorial ventures of Shetty — “Golmaal”, “Sunday”, “Golmaal Returns” and “All The Best – Fun Begins”.

New Delhi, After five years’ break, veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra says he is all set to wield the megaphone once again for a romance saga.
“I am going to direct a film in December or January. It will be a romantic film. I haven’t decided about the cast or any other detail as of now. But I will surely announce the project next month,” Chopra told IANS here.
Chopra is known for making hit movies like “Dil To Pagal Hai”, “Chandni”, “Silsila”, “Trishul” and “Deewar”.
The filmmaker was here to receive the prize on behalf of his son Aditya at the 55th National Award ceremony Wednesday. Aditya’s “Chak De! India” was named the best film in overall entertainment for 2007.

As per sources in the film Hrithik will be seen in the role of a wildlife explorer. It is believed that Hrithik’s character is inspired from the famous comic character, Shikari Shambhu. “It is an adventure film and Zayed Khan plays the lead role along with Hrithik,” a source revealed about the film.
