A remake of the South super hit, Kaakha Kaakha, the film will be directed by Gautam Menon. “She loved the script and was keen on working with John Abraham, since they have never worked together. She is keeping herself busy. This week, she is looking forward to the release of Karthik Calling Karthik with Farhan (on 26^th Feb 2010). Apart from this film with John, the actor has already started shooting with Neil Mukesh for YRF’s next film and has also signed up for Lucha Lafanga, that will be directed by Danish Aslam, who is Kunal Kohli’s assistant.”

Some names are dropped from the Race sequel and some new names are added to it. The name that requires special mention is stylish John Abraham. Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor will remain in Race 2 but Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif has been dropped.

Race 2 is said to be more exciting and stylish than the original. John has read the script and liked his part very much. He has given his ok for the film. A source reveals, “John read the script and really liked it. After Dhoom, this is the second script he liked in just one sitting. The character he’s playing is not only flamboyant but also has a huge collection of imported cars and bikes. Everyone knows that John is an avid bike rider.”

Speaking about his look in the film, a source said, “His look is extremely sexy and sophisticated. The film also has lot of stunts, car chases and some deep-sea diving scenes. They still are location hunting to figure out where to base the film.”

When contacted, Ramesh Taurani said, “The script is being finalised and we have only cast Saif and Anil Kapoor till now.”

Apart from John, some new actors will be included.

Abbas Tyrewala’s next film, 1-800-LOVE is almost done but it won’t release until July next year. The reason behind this is that Abbas believes July is his lucky month (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na released last July and performed very well). So, he plans to release all his movies in July now and he is sure they will work.
Abbas is glad that even though most of the shooting is done, the producer is ready to wait until July for the release. He actually wanted to release it on July 4, like Jaane Tu… but it isn’t a Friday. So, they will settle on a date between July 2 and July 9, 2010. Abbas would love to release all his future films in July too but that depends on how accommodating his producers would be.
Abbas defence for the issue is that the first half of the year is usually filled with exams and that he wants to wait until schools and colleges shut down. But Abbas don’t schools and colleges reopen in July?
