The Mystery is the story of an aspiring actress Ria (Mahima Chaudhary) who models / acts in music videos but has her eyes set on making it big in films as a lead actress.
During one of her shoots, she happens to meet Dev (Dino Morea) a stuntman by profession, who saves her life during an accident on the set. She’s impressed with him, soon love blossoms between them and they are on a romantic high. Meanwhile Ria is offered a lead actress’ role in a film by casting director Rishi Gandhi (Madan) but the condition is that she has to leave for Shimla the very next day.
Dev is very happy about her getting the role in the film and sees her off, wishing all the luck. On reaching Shimla, she is introduced to the film’s director Muni Gandhi (Govind Namdeo) who also praises her beauty and appreciates his assistant’s perfect choice of casting her as the heroine.

Slowly Ria begins to see some unusual mystery around her. The director asks her to give a screen test but when she asks for a second take she is refused. His assistant Rishi Gandhi delivers the cassette to Remon (Suman Ranganathan) a rich female staring in a huge mansion in Shimla. Who is this woman and why the cassette has been delivered to her? What happens after the screen test? How Ria tackles the situation and what’s she doing in Shimla? All this forms the crux of the story of the high voltage drama Gumnaam- The Mystery

Preity Shiney in Har Pall

Jahnu Barua, the nine time National Award winner director from Assam, who made his debut as a Hindi filmmaker with the highly acclaimed film Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara, is all set to direct his next venture.

The film is titled Har Pall and will see a never seen before combination of Shiney Ahuja and Preity Zinta. Speaking about the film, director Jahnu Barua says, “Preity Zinta and Shiney Ahuja were my first choice as they fit the bill. I approached both of them and narrated the subject and am happy that they agreed to play the main lead in my film. Shiney is an actor, who can be moulded in any role. Har Pall is a commercial Hindi film which has a strong story.”
After doing a serious subject like Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara what made Jahnu Barua to go for a commercial love story this time? He says, “I have realized that the kind of subject I am taking up I want people to watch it. I want that audience. That’s why somehow the subject is more important for me. It doesn’t matter how I present it. If I succeed in giving them what they want, I’ll feel I am doing justice to my film.”
Shiney Ahuja who plays an advertising executive in this film is happy that finally he gets to play a full white character. “Most of the characters that I played were very grey and of a complicated character. I am fortunate enough to get those characters at the early stage of my career. I am happy that my directors showed that confidence in a new guy like me. However, the background story of my character in Har Pall is slightly different. He is not carrying any baggage. I play an advertising executive, who is the neighbor of Priety Zinta. It’s a very nice sweet love story.”
Har Pall is being produced by Tito of the famous Tito-Tony pair, who produced films like Ram Balram, Do Anjaane and Insaniyat with Amitabh Bachchan. The film also stars stars Dimple Kapadia and Isha Koppikar.

The movie would star Fardeen Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Irfan Khan, Bipasha Basu, Dino Morea, Manjor Bajpai and Danny Denzongpa. Says Prashant when contacted; “I was given a brief by Sanjay Gupta about the look that Fardeen had to have in Acd Factory. Sanjay was particular about Fardeen. Besides Fardeen, I am also training Aftab Shivdasani, Danny Denzongpa, Irrfan Khan and Manoj Bajpai.”
Maya, Prashant’s wife, a dietician, is involved in shaping not only Fardeen but also Aftab, Irrfan and Manoj Bajpai too. She used to advise Khan junior on his daily dietary intakes.
